Today we made the very difficult decision to wind down OakBrook Investments, LLC. OakBrook lost several large clients during fourth quarter 2019. That drop in assets put us on an unsustainable path forward as a standalone company. After evaluating many potential partners, we have decided that the best path forward for us is to close OakBrook Investments. It will take some time for our clients to transition to new managers and for us to wind down operations. At this time, our expectation is that OakBrook Investments will close by the end of June 2020.
It has been the journey of our lives building and running OakBrook Investments over the last twenty-two years. We want you to know that it has been an enormous privilege to manage our clients’ investments as well as a pleasure to work with so many of you. After so many years in business together, this is the most difficult decision we have had to make as it affects not only our clients but our employees and their families as well. We never imagined our partnership ending this way.
We wish everyone the best as we all move forward to the next stage.
